If you were a Maya you’d be thinking “damn, only 720 days until the world ends” - I’m suspecting there aren’t too many Maya reading this so I’ll leave it that other than to highlight http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-12105157
Big happenings at the extended ICE house today. Band meeting to speed date a potential manager amongst other such things as...

…we had 2 gigs left to play this year. Since then we’ve played 5 and now have 2 more gigs to play this year!
The 1st gig is tomorrow Fri 17th Dec at The Liberal Club in Stalybridge. For those not local to us, Google maps will show you where Stalybridge is, cos I haven’t got a clue and therefore, will be adventuring on my own little mystery tour tomorrow.
The 2nd (and final for...
Well lookee yonder, a follower...
…other than Little Timmy C for whom we are holding a special christmas appeal so please send in lotsa kidney soup - preferably in strong watertight containers.
Well we’ve two things to tell you. Firstly we seem to be on a national tour - the gogglebox keeps warning of ice all over the place (stop it Paul!) and secondly you can now catch a snippet of us doing crazy things from the...

Hmm? Whadya mean it’s not New Year yet? It must be, the Christmas trees have been up for ages and there’s Easter Eggs in the shops!
Oh I see, having checked, that it’s still only November, lucky, too, cos I’ve still got to start my Christmas shopping. Not that we, as a band will have much time for shopping, given the...
You can put the patchouli away now Paul
Now thats nearly as good a name for a band as call me colin but sadly the key driver behind the title is that we won’t be able to entertain the bar staff at MOHO in Manchester this week as the headline act have allegedly had to pull their tour given a lack of interest. That’s a shame, a load of crusties playing medieval instruments sounded well worth a view and needless to say...

Where is Timmy Cheesecake?
Well half of your fave Icey folks were featured in session tonight on Dune FM (which is somewhere near the sea). Janie and Gary spent 2 hours being interviewed, playing some hot offa the press new recordings and doing some acousticy stuff. Didn’t hear the last hour as a chinese was beckoning but for the first hour they did sterling service chatting about biology (debating whether there are...
We're all off to dubh lyn
It can be a funny old chap can johnny life. One moment you have but 2 gigs left in the year, the next minute its getting like last where we ended up playing something like 75 times between September and December. OK so its not quite that bad but we have a good few to look forward to before starting our traditional winter break.
So what we got to say thats newsworthy? Not a lot really, we...
ICE go a-touring
well, it’s sort of a mini tour, and not really a tour as such, just 3 dates, one after the other.
When you think that ICE were winding down to hibernate in the studio during the winter months, and were down to their last 2 gigs of the year, to suddenly find themselves with 5 gigs is a bit of a shock to the system!
Nov 4 - Moho Live, Manchester, supporting Schelmish
Nov 5 - Yorkshire...

Ahhh Sunny Blackpool
So, a weekend spent by the sea in Morecambe and Blackpool, and it was sunny! Well, it was in Blackpool.
It has to be said that Bfest had a wonderful atmosphere and it was nice to be there a bit early to soak it all up, along with a few rays.
If you read the earlier blog - something about chicken and cockles, you’ll notice that Guy appears to be the only member of the band to be referred to...
Nowt like jerk chicken on the prom and not a...
Well there isn’t really is there but hey super-guitar-heroes such as Ice have to try to fit in with the mundane.
The seaside tour went well, we played well, broke poor Guy’s fingers - he was healthy until we got our icy mitts on him - and then made him play again with his stumps. We met some good people, made new friends, heard a dreadful support band - indie dirge played badly by a...
Brian's calling home & a trip to the seaside
Howdy-do-dy ICEsters! Just thought we’d rush out a quick update on all things ICE & beautiful (you’ll get used to the boldy upper case ICE thing - its something I picked up in advertising 101 and which really should have cleared up by now, perhaps I need stronger antibiotics?).
Well, our collection of demics recovers well with the Rock’n’Roll Teddy Bear proving the...
When Winter Comes....
…and we all get snowed in, eating whatever we find in the cupboards, plums on toast, peaches and egg, chips and ready brek, think of ICE and their forthcoming album, which will no doubt get delayed again due to heavy snow and most of the band living a slight distance from civilization.
Still, could be worse, I suppose. We could all be in boy or girl bands.. EEEK!
Now, back to the album,...

Ah, august
A month invented to venerate the rather peculiar activities of some roman geezer holidaying in France is already half gone and ICE have gone very quiet. Two of our intrepid ICEistadors (OMG and our very own rock’n’roll teddy bear Paul) are busily repeating their last 4 years worth of holidays, avoiding the same cow pats, drinking the same whiskey and stopping the dogs (possibly Paul...

5 months 'til christmas
Well, its that time of year again, getting out the decos, washing the tinsel, polishing the fairies and putting on the traditional christmas veg (soggy broccoli) and so its high time that there was another ICE blog on this here segment of the ether.
So, what have we been up to? Dunno, I never look at the tw*tter feeds and can only guess that there have been leaks a plenty, the odd grand prix and...
A very interesting week
It’s Friday, the end of the working week for most people, but not if you’re in a band. Most gigs tend to happen at a weekend, even for original bands such as ourselves. It always makes for an exciting weekend. Much better than mowing the lawn, or painting a wall, don’t you think.
Last weekend we played a wonderful gig at the Grimsargh Field Day, the band met some lovely people...

A Monday Evening in Bolton
5.40pm, Janie and I pull up near to Bolton FM radio getting ready to do another radio interview.
We wander into the bolton FM office and after a few introductions we hang around waiting to be called into the studio.
Just after 6pm the presenter, Jamie, takes us through and into the studio, where, after the music finishes, he introduces us to Bolton. We chat for a while, listen to a few adverts,...
